About Us
Cousins Tyrer was established in its present form in December 1993 with two Partners and two support staff. The Practice has grown since then and had three Equity Partners. James Littlehales having joined the Partnership then left in March 2008. Aysha Mazharuddin joined the firm in 2004 and became a partner in 2006. Helen Cousins left in September 2013 to take up a post as a District Judge. David Tyrer retired on in March 2018. Craig Sutcliffe became a Partner from April 2018 leaving two equity Partners.
Natalie Banks and Nigel Shepherd also work with the firm as consultants. Rebecca Seal and Harrison Browne work in our prison law department. Harrison is also an accredited police station representative
David Tyrer acts as a Consultant for the Firm. The current Partners Aysha Mazharuddin and Craig Sutcliffe are accredited duty Solicitors and both have higher rights of audience in the Crown Court.
